1. Introduction and Scope
Fast Track Home Repairs ("Fast Track Home Repairs," "we," "us," or
"our") operates this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use,
store, share, and protect personal information obtained through our
website, mobile applications, telephone communications, email
correspondence, in-person consultations, and during the course of
providing home services. This policy applies to all users of our
platforms and all clients who engage our services across the United
States.
2. Personal Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you directly provide when
requesting a quote, creating an account, subscribing to our
newsletter, or contacting us. This includes your full name, email
address, telephone number, mailing address, property address where
services will be performed, date of birth (when voluntarily
provided), project descriptions and photographs, payment information
including credit card numbers and bank account details, and any
other information necessary to fulfill your service request. The
specific information collected varies by service category and
project scope.
3. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website or use our digital tools, certain
information is collected automatically through cookies, web beacons,
server logs, and similar technologies. This includes your IP
address, browser type and version, operating system, device type and
identifiers, pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URLs,
search queries that led you to our site, click patterns, and
approximate geographic location. This data is used to improve our
website performance, analyze user behavior, and personalize your
experience.
4. Property and Project Information
When you request home services, we collect detailed information
about your property including the property address, property type
(single-family, townhouse, condominium), approximate square footage,
age of the home, existing conditions relevant to the requested
service, photographs you upload for estimation purposes, and any
architectural plans or permits. This information is shared with our
network contractors solely for the purpose of providing accurate
estimates and completing your project.
5. Payment and Financial Data
Payment information including credit card numbers, debit card
numbers, bank account routing numbers, and billing addresses is
collected when you make payments for services or deposits. All
payment data is processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment
processors and is never stored on our servers in raw form. We retain
only tokenized payment references necessary for processing refunds,
managing recurring payments, and maintaining transaction records as
required by financial regulations.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to process your service requests and
provide estimates, match you with qualified contractors in our
network, facilitate project coordination and communication, process
payments and manage billing, send transactional communications
including project updates, appointment confirmations, and receipt
notifications, send promotional communications about new services,
seasonal offers, and home improvement tips (with your consent),
improve our website functionality and user experience, conduct
quality assurance and contractor performance reviews, and comply
with legal and regulatory obligations.
7. Transactional vs. Promotional Communications
Transactional communications are essential messages related to your
active service engagements including project status updates,
scheduling notifications, estimate delivery, payment confirmations,
warranty information, and safety advisories. These cannot be opted
out of as they are necessary for service delivery. Promotional
communications include marketing emails about new service
categories, special discounts, referral programs, seasonal
promotions, and informational content. Promotional communications
are sent only with your explicit consent and can be opted out of at
any time.
8. Marketing Consent and Opt-Out
By checking the consent box on our newsletter form or during account
creation, you authorize Fast Track Home Repairs to send promotional
emails. You can withdraw this consent at any time by clicking the
unsubscribe link in any promotional email, updating your preferences
in your account settings, contacting us directly, or using the
unsubscribe form on our website. Your opt-out request will be
processed within 10 business days. Withdrawing marketing consent
does not affect transactional communications related to active
projects.
9. Sharing with Network Contractors
We share your personal information and project details with
contractors in our network who are assigned to your project. This
includes your name, contact information, property address, project
scope, and any relevant photographs or plans. Contractors are
contractually bound to use this information solely for the purpose
of completing your project and are prohibited from using it for
marketing their services independently, selling it to third parties,
or retaining it beyond the project completion date plus any
applicable warranty period.
10. Third-Party Service Providers
We engage third-party service providers to support our operations
including cloud hosting providers (AWS, Google Cloud), payment
processors (Stripe, Square), CRM and project management platforms,
email delivery services, analytics providers, and background check
agencies. Each provider is contractually obligated to protect your
data, use it only for the specified purpose, and maintain security
standards equivalent to or exceeding our own requirements.
11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use first-party cookies for session management, authentication,
preference storage, and analytics. We use third-party cookies from
analytics providers and advertising platforms to understand website
usage and deliver relevant advertisements. Essential cookies cannot
be disabled without affecting website functionality. Analytics and
marketing cookies can be managed through your browser settings or
our cookie preference center. We do not use cookies for cross-site
tracking after you opt out.
12. Geographic Data and Location Services
We collect approximate geographic location based on your IP address
to determine service availability in your area, display relevant
local content, and match you with nearby contractors. If you enable
precise location services on your mobile device, we may collect more
accurate location data for features such as contractor arrival
tracking and on-site project logging. Precise location data is only
collected with your explicit permission and can be revoked in your
device settings at any time.
13. Data Security Measures
We implement comprehensive security measures including TLS 1.3
encryption for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for sensitive
data at rest, role-based access controls with least-privilege
principles, mandatory multi-factor authentication for internal
systems, regular vulnerability scanning and annual penetration
testing by independent security firms, employee security training
with mandatory certification, secure development lifecycle
practices, and physical security controls at our data centers.
14. Data Retention Periods
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to
fulfill the purposes described in this policy and as required by
law. Project records including estimates, contracts, and
communications are retained for a minimum of five years after
project completion for warranty and dispute resolution purposes.
Financial records are retained for seven years per IRS requirements.
Newsletter subscription records are retained for three years after
your last interaction. Marketing consent records are retained for
five years. Upon expiration of retention periods, data is securely
deleted or anonymized.
15. Your Rights Regarding Your Data
You have the right to request access to the personal information we
hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information,
request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal
retention requirements), request restriction of processing in
certain circumstances, request data portability in a
machine-readable format, withdraw consent for marketing
communications at any time, and object to profiling or automated
decision-making. To exercise any right, contact
privacy@fasttrackhomerepairs.com or use your account settings. We
respond within 30 days.
16. California Consumer Privacy Act Compliance
For California residents, this policy also serves as our notice at
collection under the CCPA. California consumers have the right to
know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed;
the right to delete personal information; the right to opt out of
the sale of personal information (Fast Track Home Repairs does not
sell personal information); the right to non-discrimination for
exercising CCPA rights; and the right to authorize an agent to act
on their behalf. Submit CCPA requests to
privacy@fasttrackhomerepairs.com or our Chief Privacy Officer at our
headquarters address.
17. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We
do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a
parent or guardian believes that a child under 13 has provided us
with personal information, they should contact
privacy@fasttrackhomerepairs.com immediately and we will take prompt
steps to delete such information from our systems in compliance with
COPPA.
18. Photograph and Image Usage
When you upload photographs of your property for estimation or
project documentation purposes, you grant Fast Track Home Repairs a
limited, non-exclusive license to use these images solely for the
purpose of providing the requested services, communicating with
contractors, and maintaining project records. We will not use your
property photographs in marketing materials, social media, or
public-facing content without your separate written consent, which
can be provided or withheld at your discretion.
19. Background Check Data
As part of our contractor verification process, we commission
third-party background checks that may include criminal history, sex
offender registry checks, civil judgment searches, and identity
verification. This data is processed by licensed background check
agencies in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). If
you are a contractor and wish to dispute information in your
background check report, you will be provided with the appropriate
disclosure and dispute process as required by law.
20. Text Message and SMS Communications
With your consent, we may send text messages (SMS) to your mobile
phone number for project updates, appointment reminders, and
contractor dispatch notifications. Message and data rates may apply
depending on your mobile carrier plan. You can opt out of SMS
communications at any time by replying STOP to any message, texting
STOP to our short code, or contacting us directly. Your opt-out will
be processed within 24 hours. Transactional SMS related to active
projects may continue for safety and coordination purposes.
21. Third-Party Website Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites including
contractor portfolios, material supplier sites, financing partner
platforms, and review sites. These links are provided for your
convenience only. Fast Track Home Repairs does not control the
content, privacy practices, or security of third-party websites and
is not responsible for any information you submit to or receive from
third-party sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any
external site before providing personal information.
22. Data Breach Response Procedures
In the event of a security incident that compromises the
confidentiality, integrity, or availability of your personal
information, we will take immediate containment measures and conduct
a thorough investigation. Affected individuals will be notified
without unreasonable delay and in no event later than 72 hours after
discovery, as required by applicable state breach notification laws.
Notifications will include the nature of the data compromised, steps
we have taken, and protective measures you can take. We will also
notify relevant regulatory authorities as required.
23. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Our primary data processing and storage occurs within the United
States. Some of our third-party service providers may operate data
centers outside the US. In such cases, we ensure that appropriate
safeguards are in place including Standard Contractual Clauses, data
processing agreements with equivalent protection requirements, and
compliance with applicable international data transfer frameworks.
We do not transfer personal data to countries without adequate data
protection laws without robust additional safeguards.
24. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
We use automated systems to match clients with contractors based on
project type, location, availability, and performance ratings. These
systems do not make fully automated decisions that produce legal or
similarly significant effects. Every contractor assignment is
reviewed by our project coordination team before confirmation. You
may request human review of any matching decision by contacting our
support team. We do not use automated profiling for credit decisions
or pricing.
25. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers transmit Do Not Track (DNT) signals. There is no
uniform industry standard for responding to DNT. Fast Track Home
Repairs currently does not alter our data collection practices in
response to DNT signals. However, we provide meaningful opt-out
mechanisms through cookie controls, marketing preference settings,
and the unsubscribe functionality described in this policy, which
give you direct control over tracking activities.
26. Employee Access and Training
Access to personal information is restricted to employees who
require it to perform their job functions. All employees with data
access complete mandatory privacy and security training upon hire
and annually thereafter. We maintain access logs that record every
instance of personal data access, and these logs are audited
quarterly. Violations of our data handling policies result in
disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
27. Data Minimization Principles
We follow data minimization principles by collecting only the
information that is directly relevant and necessary for the
specified purpose. When information is no longer needed for its
original purpose, it is either deleted, anonymized for analytics
use, or archived in compliance with legal retention requirements. We
regularly review our data collection forms and processes to identify
and eliminate unnecessary data fields.
28. Vendor and Subcontractor Oversight
We conduct due diligence on all third-party vendors and
subcontractors before engaging them, including security assessments,
privacy practice reviews, and contract compliance verification.
Vendors with access to personal information must execute data
processing agreements that specify permitted uses, security
requirements, breach notification obligations, and audit rights. We
conduct annual vendor reviews and may terminate relationships with
vendors who fail to meet our privacy and security standards.
29. Policy Updates and Notification
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in
our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or service
offerings. Material changes that significantly affect how we
collect, use, or share your personal information will be
communicated through prominent website notice, email notification to
registered users, or in-app messaging at least 30 days before the
updated policy takes effect. The Effective Date at the top of this
page indicates when the most recent version was published. Continued
use after changes constitutes acceptance.
