FAQ

Common Questions

Submit a request through our website or call us. We match you with vetted professionals in your area, provide a detailed written estimate, and upon your approval, assign a project coordinator who manages the job from start to finish. You have full visibility into scheduling, progress, and communication throughout.
Yes. Every contractor in our network undergoes a rigorous 12-point verification including active license confirmation with state licensing boards, current insurance certificates (general liability and workers' compensation), background checks, reference verification, and skills assessment. We re-verify annually and require proof of insurance renewal before any project begins.
We currently serve homeowners in 48 states across the continental United States. Service availability may vary by specific service category and your exact location. Enter your zip code on our service page or contact us directly to confirm availability in your area. We are actively expanding coverage and expect to be in all 50 states by end of year.
Costs vary significantly by project type, scope, materials, and your location. We provide free, no-obligation written estimates after an initial assessment. For example, a bathroom remodel typically ranges from $8,000 to $25,000, kitchen remodels from $15,000 to $60,000, and solar installations from $12,000 to $35,000 before tax credits. Your estimate will be specific to your project.
Yes. We partner with licensed lending institutions to offer financing options for qualifying homeowners. Options include fixed-rate installment loans with terms from 12 to 120 months, promotional 0% APR periods on select projects, and home equity line of credit integration. All financing is subject to credit approval, and terms are clearly disclosed before you commit.
Every project is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If the completed work does not match the agreed-upon scope and quality standards documented in your project agreement, contact your project coordinator within 10 days of completion. We will have the issue inspected and corrected at no additional cost. If we cannot resolve it to your satisfaction, we offer a formal dispute resolution process.
Timelines depend on project complexity. A simple gutter installation may take one day. A bathroom remodel typically takes 2 to 4 weeks. A full kitchen remodel ranges from 4 to 8 weeks. Solar installations usually complete within 1 to 3 days of installation start, though permitting may add 2 to 6 weeks upfront. Your project timeline is provided in the estimate.
Yes. Under the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC), residential solar installations are eligible for a 30% tax credit on the total cost of the system, including panels, inverters, mounting equipment, and installation labor. Additional state and local incentives may apply depending on your location. Our solar consultants will provide a detailed breakdown of all applicable credits and incentives in your proposal.

This information is shared with our network contractors solely for the purpose of providing accurate estimates and completing your project.

5. Payment and Financial Data

Payment information including credit card numbers, debit card numbers, bank account routing numbers, and billing addresses is collected when you make payments for services or deposits. All payment data is processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment processors and is never stored on our servers in raw form. We retain only tokenized payment references necessary for processing refunds, managing recurring payments, and maintaining transaction records as required by financial regulations.

7. Transactional vs. Promotional Communications

Transactional communications are essential messages related to your active service engagements including project status updates, scheduling notifications, estimate delivery, payment confirmations, warranty information, and safety advisories. These cannot be opted out of as they are necessary for service delivery. Promotional communications are sent only with your explicit consent and can be opted out of at any time.

8. Marketing Consent and Opt-Out

You can withdraw this consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any promotional email, updating your preferences in your account settings, contacting us directly, or using the unsubscribe form on our website. Your opt-out request will be processed within 10 business days. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect transactional communications related to active projects.

9. Sharing with Network Contractors

We share your personal information and project details with contractors in our network who are assigned to your project. This includes your name, contact information, property address, project scope, and any relevant photographs or plans. Contractors are contractually bound to use this information solely for the purpose of completing your project and are prohibited from using it for marketing their services independently, selling it to third parties, or retaining it beyond the project completion date plus any applicable warranty period.

10. Third-Party Service Providers

We engage third-party service providers to support our operations including cloud hosting providers (AWS, Google Cloud), payment processors (Stripe, Square), CRM and project management platforms, email delivery services, analytics providers, and background check agencies. Each provider is contractually obligated to protect your data, use it only for the specified purpose, and maintain security standards equivalent to or exceeding our own requirements.

11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use first-party cookies for session management, authentication, preference storage, and analytics. We use third-party cookies from analytics providers and advertising platforms to understand website usage and deliver relevant advertisements. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without affecting website functionality. Analytics and marketing cookies can be managed through your browser settings or our cookie preference center. We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking after you opt out.

12. Geographic Data and Location Services

We collect approximate geographic location based on your IP address to determine service availability in your area, display relevant local content, and match you with nearby contractors. If you enable precise location services on your mobile device, we may collect more accurate location data for features such as contractor arrival tracking and on-site project logging. Precise location data is only collected with your explicit permission and can be revoked in your device settings at any time.

13. Data Security Measures

We implement comprehensive security measures including TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest, role-based access controls with least-privilege principles, mandatory multi-factor authentication for internal systems, regular vulnerability scanning and annual penetration testing by independent security firms, employee security training with mandatory certification, secure development lifecycle practices, and physical security controls at our data centers.

14. Data Retention Periods

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and as required by law. Project records including estimates, contracts, and communications are retained for a minimum of five years after project completion for warranty and dispute resolution purposes. Financial records are retained for seven years per IRS requirements. Newsletter subscription records are retained for three years after your last interaction. Marketing consent records are retained for five years. Upon expiration of retention periods, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

15. Your Rights Regarding Your Data

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements), request restriction of processing in certain circumstances, request data portability in a machine-readable format, withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time, and object to profiling or automated decision-making. To exercise any right, contact privacy@fasttrackhomerepairs.com or use your account settings. We respond within 30 days.

16. California Consumer Privacy Act Compliance

For California residents, this policy also serves as our notice at collection under the CCPA. California consumers have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed; the right to delete personal information; the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (Fast Track Home Repairs does not sell personal information); the right to non-discrimination for exercising CCPA rights; and the right to authorize an agent to act on their behalf. Submit CCPA requests to privacy@fasttrackhomerepairs.com or our Chief Privacy Officer at our headquarters address.

17. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, they should contact privacy@fasttrackhomerepairs.com immediately and we will take prompt steps to delete such information from our systems in compliance with COPPA.

18. Photograph and Image Usage

When you upload photographs of your property for estimation or project documentation purposes, you grant Fast Track Home Repairs a limited, non-exclusive license to use these images solely for the purpose of providing the requested services, communicating with contractors, and maintaining project records. We will not use your property photographs in marketing materials, social media, or public-facing content without your separate written consent, which can be provided or withheld at your discretion.

19. Background Check Data

As part of our contractor verification process, we commission third-party background checks that may include criminal history, sex offender registry checks, civil judgment searches, and identity verification. This data is processed by licensed background check agencies in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). If you are a contractor and wish to dispute information in your background check report, you will be provided with the appropriate disclosure and dispute process as required by law.

20. Text Message and SMS Communications

With your consent, we may send text messages (SMS) to your mobile phone number for project updates, appointment reminders, and contractor dispatch notifications. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message, texting STOP to our short code, or contacting us directly. Your opt-out will be processed within 24 hours. Transactional SMS related to active projects may continue for safety and coordination purposes.

21. Third-Party Website Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites including contractor portfolios, material supplier sites, financing partner platforms, and review sites. These links are provided for your convenience only. Fast Track Home Repairs does not control the content, privacy practices, or security of third-party websites and is not responsible for any information you submit to or receive from third-party sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external site before providing personal information.

22. Data Breach Response Procedures

In the event of a security incident that compromises the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of your personal information, we will take immediate containment measures and conduct a thorough investigation. Affected individuals will be notified without unreasonable delay and in no event later than 72 hours after discovery, as required by applicable state breach notification laws. Notifications will include the nature of the data compromised, steps we have taken, and protective measures you can take. We will also notify relevant regulatory authorities as required.

23. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Our primary data processing and storage occurs within the United States. Some of our third-party service providers may operate data centers outside the US. In such cases, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place including Standard Contractual Clauses, data processing agreements with equivalent protection requirements, and compliance with applicable international data transfer frameworks. We do not transfer personal data to countries without adequate data protection laws without robust additional safeguards.

24. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

We use automated systems to match clients with contractors based on project type, location, availability, and performance ratings. These systems do not make fully automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Every contractor assignment is reviewed by our project coordination team before confirmation. You may request human review of any matching decision by contacting our support team. We do not use automated profiling for credit decisions or pricing.

25. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers transmit Do Not Track (DNT) signals. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to DNT. Fast Track Home Repairs currently does not alter our data collection practices in response to DNT signals. However, we provide meaningful opt-out mechanisms through cookie controls, marketing preference settings, and the unsubscribe functionality described in this policy, which give you direct control over tracking activities.

26. Employee Access and Training

Access to personal information is restricted to employees who require it to perform their job functions. All employees with data access complete mandatory privacy and security training upon hire and annually thereafter. We maintain access logs that record every instance of personal data access, and these logs are audited quarterly. Violations of our data handling policies result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

27. Data Minimization Principles

We follow data minimization principles by collecting only the information that is directly relevant and necessary for the specified purpose. When information is no longer needed for its original purpose, it is either deleted, anonymized for analytics use, or archived in compliance with legal retention requirements. We regularly review our data collection forms and processes to identify and eliminate unnecessary data fields.

28. Vendor and Subcontractor Oversight

We conduct due diligence on all third-party vendors and subcontractors before engaging them, including security assessments, privacy practice reviews, and contract compliance verification. Vendors with access to personal information must execute data processing agreements that specify permitted uses, security requirements, breach notification obligations, and audit rights. We conduct annual vendor reviews and may terminate relationships with vendors who fail to meet our privacy and security standards.

29. Policy Updates and Notification

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or service offerings. Material changes that significantly affect how we collect, use, or share your personal information will be communicated through prominent website notice, email notification to registered users, or in-app messaging at least 30 days before the updated policy takes effect. The Effective Date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent version was published. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

If you do not agree to any provision, you must immediately discontinue use of our website and services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Fast Track Home Repairs.

2. Description of Platform Services

Fast Track Home Repairs operates an online platform that connects homeowners with licensed, insured home service professionals. Our service categories include Interior Design, Exterior Design, Home Decor, Bathroom Remodeling, Kitchen Remodeling, Fire and Safety Installations, Solar Panel Installations, Home Warranty, Roofing Installations, Gutter Installation, and Home Security. Fast Track Home Repairs facilitates the matching, coordination, and payment processes but does not directly perform the physical home services described herein.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To use our services, you must be at least 18 years of age, a legal resident of the United States, the legal owner or authorized representative of the property where services will be performed, and capable of entering into a binding contract. You represent that the property address you provide is accurate and that you have the legal authority to authorize work on the property. Fast Track Home Repairs reserves the right to verify property ownership before proceeding with any service engagement.

4. Account Registration and Accuracy

When creating an account, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account details including your contact information and property address. Providing false or misleading information may result in service delays, estimate inaccuracies, or account suspension. Fast Track Home Repairs is not liable for any consequences arising from inaccurate information you provide.

5. Service Request and Matching Process

When you submit a service request, we evaluate your project requirements, geographic location, and timeline to match you with appropriate contractors from our network. The matching process considers contractor availability, licensure in your state, relevant experience, performance ratings, and proximity to your property. We typically present one to three contractor options for your consideration. You are not obligated to accept any proposed match and may request alternative options.

6. Estimates and Pricing

All estimates provided through our platform are based on the information you supply and are approximate in nature. Final pricing may vary based on on-site inspection findings, material selection changes, scope modifications, or unforeseen conditions discovered during the project. Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated. You must approve the final scope and pricing in writing before any work commences. Verbal agreements or informal cost discussions do not constitute binding estimates.

7. Contractor Independence

Contractors in our network are independent businesses and not employees, agents, or joint venturers of Fast Track Home Repairs. Fast Track Home Repairs does not control the manner, method, or means by which contractors perform their work. While we set quality standards and monitor performance, the contractor is solely responsible for the workmanship, materials, scheduling of their labor, and compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations on your project.

8. Project Coordination Role

Fast Track Home Repairs assigns a project coordinator to facilitate communication between you and your assigned contractor, track project milestones, and serve as an escalation point for issues. The project coordinator is a facilitator and does not have authority to modify the contracted scope, approve change orders, or make binding commitments on behalf of the contractor. All scope changes must be agreed upon directly between you and the contractor.

9. Payment Terms and Processing

Payment terms are specified in your project agreement and typically include a deposit at project initiation (ranging from 10% to 50% depending on project size) with the balance due upon substantial completion or final inspection. Payments are processed through our secure payment platform. Fast Track Home Repairs holds contractor payments in escrow until you confirm satisfaction with milestone completions. Refund requests for disputed charges must be submitted within 10 business days of the charge.

10. Change Orders and Scope Modifications

Any changes to the agreed project scope, materials, timeline, or pricing must be documented in a written change order signed by both you and the contractor before the modified work begins. Verbal change orders are not binding and may result in payment disputes. Fast Track Home Repairs is not responsible for additional costs arising from undocumented scope changes. Your project coordinator can assist in facilitating change order documentation but cannot authorize changes on your behalf.

11. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel a service request before work begins without penalty. After work has commenced, cancellation terms are governed by your project agreement. Deposits for canceled projects may be partially refundable depending on the stage of completion and costs incurred by the contractor. Cancellation of solar installation projects after permitting has been filed may incur non-refundable permit fees. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing through your project coordinator.

12. Warranty Coverage and Claims

Workmanship warranties are provided by the performing contractor and are specified in your project agreement. Typical workmanship warranties range from one to five years depending on the service category. Manufacturer warranties on materials and equipment (such as solar panels, roofing materials, and security equipment) are provided by the respective manufacturers and are separate from contractor workmanship warranties. To file a warranty claim, contact your project coordinator with a description and photographs of the issue.

13. Home Warranty Plans

Fast Track Home Repairs home warranty plans are separate service contracts that cover the repair or replacement of major home systems and appliances due to normal wear and tear. Coverage terms, limitations, exclusions, and service call fees are detailed in your specific warranty plan document. Home warranty claims are subject to a per-visit service call fee as specified in your plan. Pre-existing conditions, lack of maintenance, cosmetic damage, and code violations are typically excluded from coverage.

14. Solar Installation Specific Terms

Solar installation projects are subject to additional terms including site assessment accuracy disclaimers (production estimates are based on historical weather data and may vary), permitting requirements (local permits are the homeowner's responsibility unless otherwise agreed), utility interconnection agreements (you are responsible for executing the interconnection agreement with your utility), and roof warranty considerations (roof penetrations for solar mounting may affect existing roof warranties). Federal and state tax credit eligibility is your responsibility to verify with your tax advisor.

15. Fire and Safety Compliance

Fire and safety installation services must comply with the International Fire Code (IFC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and applicable state and local fire codes. Fast Track Home Repairs and our contractors are not responsible for ensuring your property meets overall fire code compliance beyond the specific systems we install. Post-installation inspections by local fire marshals may be required and are the homeowner's responsibility to schedule and fund unless otherwise included in your project agreement.

16. Property Access and Site Conditions

You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area, clearing personal belongings from spaces where work will be performed, ensuring utilities (water, electricity, gas) are operational as required for the project, notifying us of any known hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint, mold) present on the property, and securing pets and children during work hours. Failure to provide adequate access or site conditions may result in project delays and additional charges.

17. Permitting and Code Compliance

Permitting requirements vary by jurisdiction and service type. Unless explicitly included in your project agreement, obtaining required building permits is your responsibility as the property owner. Our contractors will provide information about likely permit requirements and can assist with the application process as a service add-on. All work must comply with the International Building Code (IBC), local building codes, and zoning ordinances. Unpermitted work may void warranties and create legal liability.

18. Homeowner Insurance Obligations

You are responsible for maintaining adequate homeowner's insurance coverage throughout the duration of any project. Fast Track Home Repairs and our contractors carry their own liability insurance, but this does not replace your need for homeowner's coverage. Your insurance should cover potential damage to your property, neighboring properties, and personal belongings during construction activities. We recommend notifying your insurance carrier before any major project begins.

19. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Fast Track Home Repairs SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS, OUR PLATFORM, OR SERVICES FACILITATED THROUGH OUR PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO Fast Track Home Repairs FOR THE SPECIFIC PROJECT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Fast Track Home Repairs IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE WORKMANSHIP, MATERIALS, OR ACTIONS OF INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS IN OUR NETWORK.

20. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fast Track Home Repairs, its affiliates, directors, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms, inaccurate information you provide, failure to obtain required permits, failure to maintain insurance, hazardous conditions on your property that were not disclosed, or disputes with contractors that arise from actions beyond our facilitation role.

21. Intellectual Property

All content on the Fast Track Home Repairs platform including text, graphics, logos, design elements, software code, proprietary matching algorithms, and user interface design is the exclusive property of Fast Track Home Repairs or its licensors and is protected by United States copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our platform content without prior written consent. Design plans, 3D renderings, and material specifications created during your project are subject to the intellectual property terms in your project agreement.

22. Reviews and User-Generated Content

By submitting reviews, ratings, project photos, or other content through our platform, you grant Fast Track Home Repairs a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute such content in connection with our services and marketing materials. Reviews must be honest, based on your actual experience, and must not contain defamatory, obscene, or misleading content. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines or that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent or incentivized.

23. Prohibited Activities

You may not use our platform to solicit contractors for projects outside of our platform (circumvention), submit false or fraudulent service requests, provide misleading information about your property or project scope, harass, threaten, or intimidate contractors or Fast Track Home Repairs staff, attempt to manipulate review scores or ratings, use automated tools to scrape or extract data from our platform, or interfere with the proper functioning of our website or services.

24. Force Majeure

Fast Track Home Repairs shall not be liable for delays or failures in performing our obligations resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control including natural disasters, pandemics, labor shortages, material supply chain disruptions, government actions, utility outages, or extreme weather conditions. During force majeure events, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to resume normal operations and will keep you informed of any material impacts on your project timeline.

25. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or related to these terms or our services shall first be addressed through our internal dispute resolution process by contacting our support team. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in USA, or at another mutually agreed location. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

26. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in USA. You hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum.

27. Construction Lien Waivers

Depending on your state's mechanics' lien laws, you may be required to sign lien waivers upon making payments to contractors. Fast Track Home Repairs facilitates the collection and documentation of lien waivers but does not guarantee that all potential lien claims have been waived. In states with strict lien laws (such as Texas), we recommend consulting with a real estate attorney before making final payment to ensure all lien waivers have been properly executed by all parties who may have lien rights on your property.

28. Accessibility Compliance

We are committed to making our digital platform accessible to individuals with disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. If you encounter accessibility barriers on our website, please contact accessibility@fasttrackhomerepairs.com with a description of the issue and the page where it occurred. We will make reasonable efforts to address the barrier and provide alternative access to the content or functionality.

29. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction or arbitrator, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable. The failure of Fast Track Home Repairs to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Fast Track Home Repairs.

30. Entire Agreement and Modifications

These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable project-specific agreements, disclosures, or addenda referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Fast Track Home Repairs regarding the use of our platform and services, superseding all prior or contemporaneous communications and representations. Fast Track Home Repairs may modify these terms at any time with 30 days' notice through our website or email. Your continued use of our platform after modifications take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage periodic review of these terms.
